Help us save our bus routes! All residents will be impacted.
The city has embarked on a cost saving initiative for transit that includes removal of our bus routes (101 and 138). This will have a huge impact on our property values, snow removal service priority and the type of residents that are interested in our community. Consultations on the final transit network map begin in October and we encourage all residents to attend an upcoming open house. Dates and times are posted on the city website.
You can also review the summary report on the consultations held earlier this year.

Subject: SR #205: Re: Letter of Concern Future Transit Service to Wedgewood Heights
Dear Mr. Hartfelder,
Thank you for your correspondence to Trustee Ken Gibson. I am pleased to respond on his behalf about your concerns regarding the future of student transportation in Wedgewood.
Student Transportation staff meet regularly with Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) staff to discuss service concerns, initiatives and improvements. In regards to the system-wide ETS re-design, senior administration from both Edmonton Public Schools and ETS have been meeting to discuss its potential impact on our families and Student Transportation service model. This service model includes the provision of supplementary yellow service to neighbourhoods when ETS is absent or does not meet our service standards, and this will not change.
Edmonton Public Schools is continuing to collaborate with ETS about their system re-design. Once the potential impacts are clear, we will communicate them to our families along with information on how Student Transportation will continue to provide support to the community.
If I can be of further assistance or if you have additional questions in the interim, please contact me directly at telephone 780-429-8585.
Sincerely,
Geoff Holmes
