Bus Route Cancellation - Share Concerns June 24!
We want a regular bus route! Share your input about a proposed alternative transit option and ask how it will provide daily service for those who need to get to work or school and look after our most vulnerable residents.
ETS is hosting five workshops across the city in mid-June, including one in west Edmonton on Monday June 24 from 5 - 8 p.m. PLEASE ATTEND.
Monday, June 24
5 to 8 p.m. (drop-in)
Ormsby School (gym), 6323 184 Street
Everyone is welcome and there will be kids activities available. Light refreshments will be provided.
If you are unable to attend this workshop, you are welcome to attend one of the other workshops listed at edmonton.ca/firstlastkm. An online survey will be available in July after the workshops are completed.
The City would like us to consider an alternative transit option, why?
Using the input you provided last fall, ETS has researched several options and is looking for your help to refine a proposed on-demand transit option. Other transit agencies across North America offer a similar type of option in communities where it is more feasible than providing regular scheduled bus service. There are two examples right here in Alberta, including the City of Calgary, which just started a pilot project in its newer communities. The Town of Cochrane will also introduce public transit using an on-demand model in September 2019.
Your input will help ensure a proposed alternative transit option meets your community’s needs and help ETS put together its proposal for City Council.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!
