As you may already know, on October 21, 2024 Edmonton City Council will be making a decision at a public hearing that will determine the future of the Wedgewood Park Surplus School Site. In support of our community's efforts to preserve Wedgewood Park, your Homeowners Association Board is pleased to announce an email fundraising campaign where the HOA will match all Wedgewood resident donations  received up to $10,000 .

We understand from the Save Wedgewood Park Task Force that current funding requirements remain at approximately $27,000, and the HOA is committed to partner with the community in helping to raise this amount. We will achieve our fund raising goal with your help - please consider making a donation of $100. We encourage you to support the diligent efforts that are being taken to preserve the Park by giving whatever you can.

The HOA is granting the Save Wedgewood Park Task Force visibility into all donations that are received. The Task Force will be advising us when its funding needs have been met, and we will be updating all residents from time to time on the overall amount of donations received.

The HOA will only match donations that are received by Wedgewood residents. Our understanding is that the Task Force will be shortly ramping up a separate fundraising drive for non-resident contributions.

Wedgewood is a special community and an integral part of our community is Wedgewood Park. We have all been enjoying and relying on our park space, which we have also cared for, for many years. It is worth fighting for.
